Wise lines from As It Is In Heaven

In Kay Pollak's 2004 Swedish film As it Is In Heaven, protagonist, the Maestro Daniel Daréus, had inspirational words for his musicians:

Everything begins with listening. Imagine that all music already exists. It's up here, all around, vibrating, ready to be taken down. It's all a matter of listening, of being ready to notate it.

Each person has their own unique tone, their own individual tone. And we're going to find it...try to find yours.

You can't compete in music. The idea's insane! It's against all my beliefs. It's not good for you.
